Nola is Two Months Old
First I need to apologize to everyone for not keeping up with the blog. The last two months have been overwhelming as we all adjust to our fabulous new life!

Nola had her 2 month appointment Feb 3 and her current stats are: 11 lbs 3 oz and 23 inches long. This puts her in the 50-75th percentile for her weight and height. She also had her vaccines yesterday. We decided to follow the staggered shot schedule, which means she only had two vaccines yesterday (rotovirus and DTaP). She did great. She cried for a few minutes when she received the shot and then went immediately to sleep. We used many resources to help us make the decision on how to vaccinate Nola. One book that was very helpful was "The Vaccine Book" by Robert Sears (http://www.thevaccinebook.com/). It outlines all of the vaccines kids should get and helps parents make a decision on them. The book provides detailed information on each vaccine. It also includes the staggered shot schedule. By following the staggered schedule it does mean that Nola will have to go to the doctor every month for a shot over the next six months.
On to a fun topic...Nola Bean (as we refer to her because she looked like a bean when we would swaddle her) is tons of fun. She smiles more and more each day and coos at us when we talk to her. She has also learned to rattle her toy on her bouncy seat. She is not sleeping through the night, but she is getting close. She goes to bed at 9 PM and wakes around 3 AM for food. Below are a few pictures.

To see how much she has grown...the first picture is her leaving the hospital...the second picture is her at 6 weeks in her coming home outfit.

In the picture below, she is two months and 1 day old. I took the picture because Greg and I are always telling each other..."she's missing a sock." For some reason, she is almost always missing a sock.

If you check back on Feb. 14 you will see what she is hiding on her shirt. :-)
